CA Global Canada: Mining - Engineering and Construction has a client who is looking for a Planning-Scheduling Manager, reporting to the Project Controls Manager, with experience in the Mining industry. The purpose of the role is to assure proper Project Planning, Scheduling and schedule Control delivery by EPCM Consultant and other parties directly contracted and managed by BIM. The position is to be based in Canada.
Duties and Responsibilities:
EPCM Consultant
• Reviewing the Project Implementation Baseline Schedule and assuring that BIM requirements are implemented.
• Reviewing Project Engineering Schedule for assurance of the resources efficiency.
• Reviewing Project Procurement Schedule and assure quality and integration with other Schedules.
• Reviewing the scheduling information of the Construction Reports for assurance of quality and proactive characteristics.
• Assurance that schedule change management is properly implemented.
BIM
• Planning and scheduling functions of BIM site activities.
• Development of resource requirement (human, material, equipment and consumable) of BIM Site activities and Project Team activities.
• Interfacing with BIM Site resources and Project Team to develop and maintain BIM Schedule
• Performance Variance analysis and development of turn around schedule.
• Interfacing with BIM Procurement to assure schedule requirements are implemented in tender documents.
• Reviewing Plan/Schedule of any party directly contracted by BIM for assurance of quality and effective forecasting.
Education and Experience:
• A university degree in Engineering or technical diploma.
• Minimum 15 years experience in Planning and Scheduling in an EPCM or EPC environment.
• Experience in Change Management.
• Experience in Mega Projects. Experience in Mining and Metal Processing Projects and also preferably experience in Rail Projects.
• Must be able/willing to spend extended periods at construction site or partial rotation assignment.
