Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced and skilled Ventilation Officer, who will be responsible for managing and optimising the mine’s ventilation system, by providing clean air to workers and to control the heat, humidity, and harmful gases present underground, ensuring a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain ventilation networks that provide fresh air and remove contaminants, such as dust, gases (e.g., methane, carbon monoxide), and fumes from explosives.
  • Monitor airflow and ensure adequate air distribution across all working areas of the mine.
  • Conduct regular inspections and airflow measurements to verify the system’s performance.
  • Ensure compliance with the MHSA (Mining Health and Safety Act).
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols to manage risks associated with poor ventilation.
  • Assess potential ventilation-related risks and implement mitigation strategies to prevent incidents like gas explosions or fires.
  • Prepare emergency response plans and ventilation layouts in case of underground fires or gas leaks.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure equipment is functioning optimally.
  • Continuously monitor air quality, temperature, and humidity levels in the mine.
  • Record and report findings to mine management and suggest improvements or corrective actions when needed.
  • Work closely with mine engineers, geologists, and safety officers to ensure ventilation systems support ongoing mining activities without hindrance.
  • Ensure that ventilation plans are updated based on the progression of mining operations and the opening of new work areas.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in mine ventilation, environmental health, or related field.
  • Mine Ventilation Officer Certification (specific to certain countries) or relevant safety training.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in ventilation management within an underground mining environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of ventilation software and equipment.

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Mine Manager to lead all mining-related production activities, from resource planning and budget management to ensuring a safe working environment. The role involves coordinating mine operations, overseeing personnel and projects, and engaging with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance. The successful candidate will drive operational improvements and contribute to the company’s growth strategy while managing new projects and production areas.

 

Responsibilities:

  • To plan, oversee and coordinate all mining related production activities including physical and human resources and budgets.
  •  Maintain and encourage safe work environment.
  • Lead the mine operations team and manage all mining personnel and resources.
  • Prepare operational plans for the mine, monitor and report progress.
  • Propose critical expenditure projects to expand capacity or improve operations.
  • Prepare production and operating budgets, and report performance and costs
  • Recognise operational, technical and safety challenges, take action to prevent or overcome them, and continuously seek improvement
  • Contribute to business strategy to improve company’s competitiveness, profitability and growth.
  • Engage with DMRE to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee new projects (ex. Installing new mining equipment or opening a new shaft.)
  • Initiate, prepare and implement codes of practice relating to health and safety.
  • Management and coordination of total allocated production area.

 

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

  • Mining Engineering Degree/Diploma.
  • Mine Manager Certificate of Competency.
  • Minimum of five (5) year’s managerial experience.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in underground mining.

  • Must have sound knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
  • Must be prepared to work at a metallurgical plant.
  • Must be prepared to work underground.
  • Previous experience in mining operations will be advantageous, particularly in Production operations.

Our client, an international mining house with operating mines and projects in Africa, is in need an FP&A Manager to join their team, based out of Florida, USA.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Trend analysis of KPI’s relating to financial metrics.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators and identifying the cause of any unexpected variances.
  • Developing and continuous improvement of budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts.
  • Business performance reporting as required.
  • Preparing and presenting monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Implementing a business intelligence tool and dashboard reports.
  • Developing financial models and analysis thereof in support of strategic initiatives.
  • Supporting the management team with data-driven analysis.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university.
  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified (or similar professional affiliation).
  • Minimum of 10 years of FP&A experience with at least 5 years at management level.

Our client is seeking a Senior Logistics and Project Operations Officer, who will be responsible for managing international and domestic end-to-end shipments, overseeing RFQs and Tender-RFQs and ensure timely submission of monthly volume statistics and KPIs. They will update logistics processes, monitor costs, and support business development efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactivity in identifying potential issues and preventing problems before they arise, while taking ownership of tasks and providing necessary evidence to support decisions and actions.
  • Handling and oversee international and domestic End to End shipments and project cargo, from Quotation to Delivery.
  • Address and manage RFQs and Tender-RFQs received from partner carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers both locally and internationally, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with global freight forwarder partners
  • Office Monthly Volumes Statistics & KPI Fill Out, Monitoring & Submission.
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Oversee the mapping, updating, and monitoring of Office Logistics SOPs, Country Logistics Road Layouts, and tariff guidelines for ports and airports, while maintaining accurate records of local logistics costs and reporting any changes.
  • Maximize commercialization of company local warehousing capabilities.
  • Assist on reconciliation of Logistics Files on record with Operations and Finance Departments.
  • Logistics Manager Back Up Support as needed.
  • Work in liaison with office Sales Desk on Business Development Efforts and Commercial Brand Placement.

Requirements:
