I work in the Banking Industry
What are your strengths that you have developed since working in the Banking Industry?
I would say experience on trading, Intelligence and management. Additional strengths of mine that I have developed in the Banking Industry are:
Good fit with corporate
Good communication skills.
Definiteness of purpose…clear goals.
high level of motivation.
What inspired you to get into the Banking Industry?
I had a positive experience with my job in Africa and I lived in Senegal 2 years. I think it can be a good experience for me to work in Africa. There is a lot of things to do in shipping, bank, trading of commodities and foreign exchange.
What is the most challenging aspect within the Banking Industry?
I think every sales manager finds it challenging to motivate the troops in a recession. But that’s probably the strongest test of a top sales manager.
How do you manage and overcome these challenges?
When I see the first sign that sales may slip or that sales force motivation is flagging because of a downturn in the economy, here’s the plan I put into action immediately.
What has been the highlight of your career since you have been working in the Banking Industry?
When I opened a market with 30 banks in Europe and Africa.
If somebody starts as a trainee / beginner within your line of work, what could they earn in salary?
Roughly 40 000 eur year fixed + 40 000 eur bonus
What can this person expect to earn after 10 years of experience?
Roughly 100 000 eur fixed + 80 000 eur bonus.
What advice can you offer people who also work in the Banking Industry?
Have a hobby to allow him to have evacuate the pressure
If you had to describe yourself in FIVE WORDS, what would they be?
Where in Africa have you worked before?
South Africa / Tunisia / I lived 2 years in Senegal when I was between 13 and 15 years old.
As you know, numerous African countries are being invested in due to their rich minerals. Which country within Africa do you think will be the next hot spot and why?
Senegal and Morocco because these countries are safe and there is a lot off petrol off-shore. Angola for the oil and the foreign exchange, because now all companies must pay their employees with the local currency.
CA Global is a big believer in Africa, why do YOU believe in Africa?
Because it is the only continent that would have a growth higher than 10 % for the next upcoming years. There are lots of rich minerals and there is a lot of things to do
