Metallurgist Job Responsibilities:
The Metallurgist job requires the candidate to assist the metallurgy team with operations in cementing a strong safety culture within the processing group by ensuring all positive, forward looking safety initiatives are completed by metallurgy.
For this metallurgist job opening you will need to take a personal, active role in completing action items from occupational health and safety audits and ensure the metallurgy team are involved in these audits and complete action items as required.
It is vital for the right candidate to ensure the processing plant complies with all relevant environmental standards and to control the processing department budget development process, both operating and capital expenditure.
Developing a revised production management system focused on measurement of incremental continuous improvement and completing routine production forecasts on a quarterly basis are crucial responsibilities for this metallurgist job opportunity.
The candidate we are seeking will need to successfully develop plans to integrate metallurgical data from laboratory test work and processing operations into the geological data generated through the grade control process.
Another responsibility for this metallurgist job opportunity is to develop management/operational systems to monitor and control quality of the final concentrate and ensure deviations in quality are investigated and documented.
Metallurgist Job Requirements:
Relevant degree in metallurgy or chemical engineering
Min 5 years’ experience
Work experience in Mozambique
Mineral sands an advantage
