Job Description:

Our client, one of Africa’s leading petroleum distribution and marketing companies is seeking a Corporate Offer and Promotion Advisor, who will be the main interface between Marketing and Operations, develop strategies to improve, benchmark and monitor retail performance and profitability KPI’s – embedding digital / technology in the offer. The ideal incumbent will have experience working in sales & marketing at senior management level.


  • Responsible for Brand positioning, Brand tracking and customer satisfaction measurement
  • Responsible for translating all Backcourt and Forecourt offers into one integrated Plan for execution
  • Propose the strategy for Products and Services offer among the Retail network of the company over the short, medium and long term
  • Steward the execution of the full branded customer offer across the retail network
  • Evaluate & Benchmark Lube / Fuel ratio & develop initiatives for improvement
  • Ensure optimum Fuel &Lube stock levels
  • Monitor Lube Best sellers per country / cluster
  • Benchmark & improve ATP
  • To support Non-Fuels Income team to identify, develop and support alternative profit centre in order to achieve profitability and growth in the retail network.
  • Manage Brand stewardship, Marketing & communications materials & processes, Marketing research, Marketing Packaging, internal & external communications and Media strategies.
  • Plan & Monitor annual & seasonal promotions execution as well as cross-promotions, and related Marketing Communication materials & Processes
  • Ensure positioning and communications are consistently applied (POS, On-site, BTL, ATL)
  • Set Media strategy, participate in the selection of Marketing Communications agencies and manage relationship with these agencies
  • Lead development of local marketing programs as required
  • Coordinate Global Marketing communications plan development cycle
  • Ensure effective implementation of internal communications strategy
  • Lead the implementation of Marketing offer initiatives and programs to ensure alignment with Global Marketing
  • Ensure consistency of offer, standards and communication across the retail network
  • Constantly test customer satisfaction and awareness of product & services offered and propose development marketing tools
  • Monitor brand, promotion and communication budget and expenditure levels
  • Develop, coach and supervise Global Brand & communication staff, taking appropriate steps to enhance Marketing competencies in the organisation
  • Provide brand guidance to local teams
  • Frequently travel around the region and observes field teams while at work – supports and advises.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

  • Citizenship in West, East or North Africa required
  • Relevant marketing background and degree from reputable university.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in Sales and/or Marketing, at senior managerial position
  • Travel within Africa Required
