Job Description:

Reporting to the Project Director, an innovative and motivated individual is sought to develop and lead a construction project team and manage an EPCM company on the construction and commissioning of an Iron Ore Process Plant upgrade in Sierra Leonne.

 

Responsibilities:

• Leadership of a multinational owner’s construction team and the management of an international EPCM company.
• A minimum of 10 years postgraduate experience in the construction/commissioning of mineral processing/materials  handling/heavy industrial plant.
• Solid experience in managing project teams and achieving targeted project delivery
• Management of Safety requirements
• An in-depth knowledge of ISO and Mines & Works codes and standards
• A working knowledge of industry standard business support systems e.g. project planning & cost management, Schedule Management, procurement management, QA/QC, adjudications, scope of works with the ability to submit high level reports.

 

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• To apply you should have a degree or diploma with GCC in Engineering or a degree in project management with technical background.
• Extensive experience and excellent knowledge of mineral processing plant is required, with exposure on Iron ore plants highly regarded.
• An understanding of modern construction / commissioning principles and practices is essential.
• Strong leadership skills are required along with a demonstrated ability to mentor and motivate people of diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
• You will also need a sound awareness of current best-practice in safety systems and procedures, and a willingness to develop a strong safety culture within your team.
