Digital Banking Director (eBanking / Mobile Banking / Digitalisation) – Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso

Job Description:

A well-known international Financial Services holding company is seeking to hire a Digital Banking Director to join the Banking Group in Burkina Faso. The successful individual will be responsible for the framework of the strategic orientations defined by the Board of Directors and the General Management, the incumbent implements the Group's projects in the field of digital financial services in order to contribute to the satisfaction of customer needs and the achievement of the objectives set.

 

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the management of digital financial services expansion projects in line with the Group's global strategy
• Electronic money: the development and marketing of all bank cards and the TPE equipment policy
• eBanking: the entire transactional banking system on the web
• Mobile Banking: bank accessibility application for mobile phone customers
• Mobile Money: aims to allow customers and non-customers to carry out transfer, consultation and payment operations
• Work with central management and its local correspondents, to support subsidiaries in the successive deployment of the various digital financial services 
• Establish the specifications of the various distribution channels for digital financial services in relation to the Central Directorates
• Ensure, in collaboration with the transversal functions, the alignment of the different projects with the regulatory and compliance constraints
• Ensure the proper dissemination of the digitalization strategy in all subsidiaries
• Prepare all the documentation necessary for the presentation of the strategy and digital projects to the decision-making committees
• Set up activity management tables and performance indicators
• Ensuring competitive intelligence in digital financial services
• Ensure, as necessary, training missions for staff dedicated to digital financial services at the holding company and in subsidiaries
• Ensure the monitoring of activities, the analysis of indicators and propose corrective measures if necessary
• Ensure regular and reliable reporting to its hierarchy
• Maintains functional links with the IT and digital financial services managers of the subsidiaries

 

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• A Bachelor’s Degree, along with a completed relevant Master’s Degree
• 12+ years relevant experience
• Experience with either a well-established Banking / Financial Services / Consulting organization
• Multi-locational / regional oversight experience across Africa / African markets
• Experience in people / team management
• Willingness to relocate to Burkina Faso
• Fluency in both English and French
