Director of Exploration Early Stage (Greenfield / Precious Metals / Base Metals / Residential) – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

 

Job Description:

Our client, a global top tier mining company, has a director level leadership opportunity for a seasoned Exploration

Executive to lead and take charge of all regional greenfield exploration. Your purpose would include Delivery of potential economic targets, Generation of enough targets & delivery of positive targets to next stage, Management of budgets and licenses.

 

Responsibilities:

• Target identification testing and delineation across all commodities (greenfield)
• Deliver potential economic targets with preliminary economic assessment (Stage Gate 0)
• Manage geological teams and the progression of resource form target advancement
• to advanced stage exploration 
• Manage early-stage exploration budget and create budget proposals
• Manage, monitor and assess early-stage exploration KPIs (drill targets, new resources, etc.)
• Management of licenses already granted (MIMR compliance and reporting)

 

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• B.Sc. in Geology or equivalent is essential; Advanced degree in geology preferred.
• More than 10 years’ experience in Mining across executive & senior management roles across junior & / or major players
• Experience in target generation & grassroots exploration
• Experience in successfully leading mid- and large-size teams
• Expertise in early exploration-related positions
