Job Description:

Our client is seeking an Engineering Manager who will assist in projects in the existing core business within the mining and tailings waste management sector. This position will lead all engineering matters and will also need to participate in business development within the sector.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Engineering Team Lead on projects.
• Develop and implement engineering designs for civil engineering projects.
• Conduct design calculations and analysis.
• Perform reviews of technical documents.
• Prepare proposal documents.
• Manage projects to meet quality, time, budget and schedule requirements.
• Carry out Engineer of Record (EoR) related duties on projects either as the EoR/Deputy EoR or as a representative of the EoR, as appropriate on a project-by-project basis.
• Supervise and mentor team members.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to guide works by engineering team.
• Perform administrative duties related to the management of the technical staff including determining staffing and training needs.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Engineering degree.
• Qualified Professional Engineer.
• Member of a recognized Professional Institution.
• Project Management qualification advantageous.
• Ability to bring in new clients/maintain and develop existing clients.
• Exemplary experience with tailings management and engineering.

Benefits and Contractual information:

• Residential position with travel allowance.
• USD Salary
• 3 Year minimum contract
