Job Description:


Our client is looking for a Group Training Manager from an earthmoving equipment background to oversee all training activities across the organization, including technical training, machine operation, product support and growth of external training sales. With a UAE base this role will service international operations and clients with a focus across Africa.


 


Responsibilities:


  • Working in partnership with regional operations to identify and assess the technical and sales training needs in line with business objectives.
  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs and supporting materials.
  • Create and manage an online training platform, integrating OEM resources.
  • Ensure training is accessible, effective and catered to individual needs.
  • Set and enforce minimum qualification standards for all Parts, Technical, and Product Support roles within the organization, while also developing assessment processes for both current and new employees.
  • Develop an annual training calendar outlining all planned training activities and providing regular updates.
  • Implement a monthly reporting system that communicates the business’s performance against required KPI’s.
  • Creating and maintaining a CRM system for external training sales including managing a sales pipeline and generating monthly progress reports.
  • Lead the development and management of a specialised external Operator Training function.
  • Ensuring all HSE and legal requirements are adhered to.
  • Team management and development.


 


Requirements: Qualification and Skill


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar relevant technical qualification is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years' previous experience in training management within HME maintenance, operation and product support.
  • Strong ability to engage with individuals of all levels, with proven understanding of effective training methods for team members with and without previous formal education.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and guide a team, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, responsibility, and initiative.
  • Financial management and cost control experience.
  • Well-versed in short-, medium- and long-term business planning.
  • Regular international travel required, with a focus on Africa.
