Job Description:

Our client a multinational mining group dedicated to exploration and development, and is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer for the overall management of the plant and equipment to ensure that plant and operating staff

operates effectively according to agreed business plan and process parameters.

Responsibilities:

• Effective operation of the plant as an effective business unit to agreed business plan and process parameters.
• Develop 3-5 years resource and mining strategy and coordinate plant and services to equipment’s.
• Maintain good relationship with stakeholders on all relevant plant issues.
• Enforce the Company’s ‘Code of Conduct’.
• Advise Mine manager in training required by employees.
• Creating high performing team and conductive employee relations climate.
• Ensure adherence to legislative requirements and the company’s Health and safety Standards.
• Management of all staffing matters relating to supervision including discipline training, development, and succession planning.
• Assist with the compiling of the engineering Strategic Plan (5-10) years in underground Mine.
• Control the Tactical Plan (<8 years).

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Degree/ B-Tech in Mechanical.
• GCC Mines and Works
• Trade Tested artisan as a minimum
• MDP certificate (advantageous)
• Project Management (advantageous)
• Knowledge of relevant Acts regulating for TMM.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Good computer and design skills.
• 8 years practical experience in maintenance and engineering
• 2 years in review of COP’s.
