Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance Mine Health and Safety Act and regulations
• Carry the 3.1 MHSA legal appointment
• Ensure all planning is done timeously and communicated to all concerned parties
• Ensure production targets as per the required plan is achieved
• All mandatory COP’s are in place, approved and signed off
• Ensure contractors perform according to contractual requirements
• Ensure proper relationship with all regulatory bodies i.e., DMR, Water Affairs, Municipality and SAPS
• Ensure good relationships with Consulting specialists
• Ensure proper working relationships between staff exists
• Ensure Community relationships are established and maintained

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• B.Sc. /B.Tech Degree in Mining Engineering
• Mine Manager Certificate of Competency
• 10 years’ experience within underground mining environments
• 5 years’ experience carrying a legal appointment
