Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Plant Engineer (Maintenance) who will be responsible for managing the maintenance of base metals processing plants, with a focus on flotation and concentration circuits. The ideal incumbent will have a strong technical knowledge of base metals processing plants, equipment maintenance and repair, and leadership and management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the maintenance and repair of base metals processing plants, with a focus on flotation and concentration circuits.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure maximum plant availability and reliability.
- Manage and coordinate maintenance teams to ensure efficient and effective execution of maintenance activities.
- Develop and manage maintenance budgets and control costs.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, such as plant personnel and management, and external stakeholders, such as contractors and suppliers.
- Prepare reports and presentations on maintenance activities and plant performance.
- Manage and coordinate plant shutdowns and turnarounds.
- Provide technical support to plant personnel on maintenance issues.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- At least 5-10 years of experience working in base metals processing plants, with a focus on flotation and concentration circuits.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of base metals processing plants, equipment maintenance and repair, and maintenance strategies.
- Experience managing and leading maintenance teams.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity, with a willingness to work in a challenging and remote environment.
- Fluency in English
