Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Production Manager from a drill and blast / load and haul background to oversee production activities on site in Limpopo.
Responsibilities:
- Management of daily production activities on site to ensure customer service agreement is maintained.
- Client liaison to ensure customer satisfaction and development of relations.
- Risk mitigation and management.
- Budgeting and cost control, identifying cost saving opportunities and reporting on monthly financial performance.
- Ensuring safety and maintenance of company assets.
- Monitoring and controlling all mining assets.
- Ensure legal and SHEQ compliance.
- Defining production objectives and parameters.
- Assisting in mining and operational planning.
- Authorizing blast pattern designs and ensuring these are carried out accurately.
- Management of drilling and blasting, load and haul and dewatering activities.
- Performance monitoring, mentoring and coaching of subordinates.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- National Diploma or Degree in Mining Engineering.
- National Certificate in Rock breaking: Surface Excavations
- Mine Manager Certificate preferred.
- 10 years’ experience in production management with at least 5 years in a mining contractor capacity.
- Computer literate.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong interpersonal, financial, project and people management skills.
