Job Description:
Our client, a market-leading enterprise supplying high quality machinery within a multitude of industries such as mining, construction, quarry, and forestry is looking to employ a Senior Business Systems Support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing IT Business Systems support and to ensure proper functioning of all Business System software.
Responsibilities:
- Application Management:
- Prepare, test, and maintain system operating procedures for business system.
- Prepare test and maintain back-up and recovery procedures for all applications.
- Perform daily, weekly monthly and year-end system procedures as scheduled (e.g., parts updating).
- Ensure procedures/ runs are automated as far as possible.
- Ensure system outputs are distributed to relevant users.
- Perform file system/ database maintenance to ensure limited redundancy files and to archive old data and optimize disk space.
- Perform housekeeping/ maintenance to ensure optimal utilization of servers.
- Perform backups on a regular basis to ensure no data is lost in case of shutdown.
- Take corrective action in case of hardware/ software failure.
- Engage with relevant third parties and perform recovery procedure where necessary.
- Trouble shooting and problem diagnoses as and when problems occur.
- Security/ Access Control:
- Control and maintain user access controls.
- Ensure user profiles are maintained accurately.
- Ensure file directories are always secured and only identified individuals have access.
- Adhere to company policy regarding confidentiality of data.
- Business System Enhancement:
- Install an intermediate programming/report writing to enhance existing system on user request.
- Ensure proper installation and functioning of business systems programs.
- Perform software upgrades are performed according to schedule.
- Application Implementations:
- Support the implementation life cycle of all applications.
- Analyze requirements for solutions as and when required.
- Design, implement solution, and provide post implementation support on all applications.
- People Management:
- Promote teamwork, provide support, manage, and evaluate performance by creating and maintaining individual development plans and performance contracts for subordinates.
- Plan, organize, lead, control and develop subordinates' activities.
- Set goals and objectives for the team.
- Monitor and provide feedback.
- Recommend and approve development plans.
- Assist with and develop and coach team members.
- Comply with HR and company policies and procedures as well as legislation and current labor agreements.
- Conduct and participate in Performance Reviews for sub-function.
- Organizational Culture and Values:
- Ensure the Kenkijin philosophy, values, principles, and behaviors are promoted and established through the business unit.
- Ad Hoc Duties:
- Perform any reasonable request as requested by any person within company within a reasonable time.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Grade 12
- IT related National Diploma
- 4 year’s Business Systems Support experience – Minimum
- 1-2 enterprise resource planning
- Project and People Management skills
- Knowledge of Business Systems project, Dynamics AX
- Data Knowledge, especially SQL
