Job Description:


Our client, an international mining house, is seeking a Senior Mine Planning Engineer to join their team in Sierra Leone. The ideal incumbent is skilled at the following:


 


Responsibilities:


  • Identify shortcomings and suggest improvements to existing processes, systems and procedures
  • Optimise mine plan / schedule, by using relevant software
  • Mine design
  • Medium to long term mine planning and scheduling
  • Annual budget compilation
  • Train and mentor national mining engineers
  • Relive Chief Mining Engineer as required


 


Requirements: Qualification and Skill


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Mining and planning environment
  • Proficiency in MineSched
  • Proficiency in Surpac
  • Must have previous expat experience
  • Good proficiency in English and cross-cultural communication skills
