Job Description:

Our client, one of the world’s leading hard rock, mining services companies, is seeking a Shotcrete Supervisor with experience in the challenging environment of underground mines – specifically in Western Africa. Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the coordination and efficiency of the day-to-day activities of the shotcrete teams as well as providing the relevant guidance and motivation where necessary.
• Compliance with all QA/QC requirements to deliver high quality safe work.
• Undertake all required hazard assessments and prestart checks to ensure the work areas and machinery are safe for use.
• Be flexible and have a willingness to assist with varied tasks and responsibilities with an open and positive attitude.
• Must always set high standards and always do processes the right way no matter the difficulty of task.
• Expected to present yourself and, by association, the company in a respectful and considerate manner that is aligned to company principles.
• Will be required to impart knowledge and skill onto local workforce that has a positive effect on local communities.
• Engage in cultural awareness activities and training to help with your interactions with the local employees and communities.
• Must be patient, understanding and behave as an appreciative guest in the country you are engaged for.
• Must be resilient and able to work through challenging situations.

 

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Minimum 8 years’ experience working with Normet diesel and electric spraymecs or other equivalent equipment in high-speed development mechanized mines.
• Sound knowledge of concrete QA/QC activities.
• Relevant Trade Certification.
