Job Description:
An exciting new B2B Marketplace and e-procurement start-up is seeking a Solutions Architect to join them to drive the building, rollout, and growth of an Enterprise B2B Marketplace & E-Procurement solution. The company’s professional Services and Solutions Architects are core to their process and work closely with their customers, their suppliers, and partners throughout the organization to achieve success and wins for their users. You will work side by side with some of the biggest brands in Zimbabwe, South Africa, and other emerging markets, integrating their supplier networks, enabling compliance countries, and acting as the primary point of communication in the process of modeling the company’s client business into their platform.

Responsibilities shall include:
- Support the Professional Services team in implementing customer projects by:
- Responsible for the solution design, build, testing and migration to production – resulting in the best possible solution for the Buyer.
- Own and drive success of 2-3 concurrent enterprise customer implementations.
- Manage customer executives in Finance, IT and Shared Services
- Support implementation & project delivery from scoping to “Go Live.”
- Set up the customer on the company’s platform, Key solution design and / or build responsibilities in the context of configuring the solution and / or integration.
- Conduct Unit testing and system integration testing.
- Supporting User Acceptance Testing
- Supporting migration and troubleshooting of the customer solution
- Update customer implementation page and documentation.
- Consult with customers’ IT resources on how to best integrate their ERPs / Purchasing Systems / Accounting Systems with the company’s Platform; Interface with customer team members in Procurement, Finance, IT, and Shared Services Team with Product, Customer Service Engineering, and Support to resolve blockers.
- Participate in relevant customer meetings and lead workshops.
- Contribute to the development of Professional Services’ methodology, knowledge base, and tools with special focus on solution design.
- Contribute and be part of the Solution Advisory Board
- Perform cross-region solution reviews.
- Mentor other Professional Services team members
Qualifications required:
- Optimally you have a Bachelor or master’s degree in Business, Software Engineering & Application Development or Computer Science
- 1 – 5+ years of experience consulting and / or implementing software in enterprise space as part of a consulting firm or software company
- Comfortable leading discovery and design conversations around B2B marketplaces, e-Commerce, e-Procurement, and e-Invoicing
- Understand business processes and the interaction with IT systems.
- Comfortable being responsible for customer success, even though all variables are not completely within your direct control (e.g., customer success)
- 1- 5+ years of experience in IT related project management
- Familiar with Agile, Scrum and Waterfall project management techniques
- Fluency in English – both in writing and orally
- Have a clear interest in, and acumen in technology.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Subject matter expertise in one or more procure-to-pay systems (configuration, customization, and/or demoing experience)
- Mapping of files and integration between systems (understanding file formats, message types/standards, and communication protocols)
- Extensive functional knowledge with-in the procure-to-pay domain.
- Skilled, efficient, resourceful, and tenacious analytical person of technical issues
- Effectively communicates on complex topics with technical and non-technical people.
- Driven to make customers successful, regardless of challenges or obstacles.
- Has a solution / systems architecture acumen.
- High energy; thrives in complex, challenging and sometimes stressful situations.
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and business requirements.
- XML and File Transfer Protocols knowledge
- Nice to have: ERP integration or implementation, ETL/interface mapping, SQL, ANSI X12, and/or EDIFACT experience and/or EDI knowledge, skills in JSON/JavaScript
- Ability to travel as needed.
