Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Tax Manager with experience overseeing tax activities for the Africa Region in a mining services or mining environment, to join their team in Gauteng.
Responsibilities:
- Tax management and tax reporting compliance for the Africa region.
- Providing direction and governance on indirect tax processes and ensure requirements are met.
- Coordinating tax projects for law changes and new compliance..
- Managing intercompany services recovery model in compliance with relevant transfer pricing guidelines.
- Developing project plans.
- Partnering with IT, finance and external tax consultants to deliver changes for new requirements.
- Assisting with tax audits.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Degree in Tax / Financial Degree with a Post Graduate qualification in Tax.
- 10 years’ experience in tax management roles within the mining services sector.
- 5 years’ experience in regional tax management responsible for multiple countries across Africa.
- SAP knowledge preferred.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Financial acumen and budgeting experience.
- This role is only open to South African citizens currently residing in Gauteng.
