US GAAP Reporting Manager (Big 4 / CPA / French) – Dakar, Senegal

Job Description:

A global client of ours is currently seeking to hire a US GAAP Reporting Manager, to join their team in Dakar, Senegal. This is a good role for candidates that are looking to get out of Big 4 and move more into the corporate sector. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Review and maintain foreign affiliate financial statements for US GAAP compliance
• Support affiliate initiatives in the accounting, reporting, and internal control areas
• Process and distribute financial statements on a timely basis
• Preparation of month-end Division level close documentation
• Maintenance of US GAAP policies at Francophile affiliates
• Support affiliate initiatives in the accounting, reporting, and internal control areas
• Provide compliance support for various areas such as SOX, Tax, and Inventory
• Participate in month-end Division close process and tie out of financial statements
• Support Division for various quarterly and year end requirements
• Preparation of year-end Division and audit support schedules

 

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• US CPA required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• 4 years of Big 4 Public Accounting Experience in the audit area
• Experience reporting financials in accordance with US GAAP
• Bilingual French required
• High ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written in French and English
• Proficient or Advanced Excel skills

 

Contractual Information:

• Based in Dakar, Senegal with travel to West African affiliate locations approximately 20% of the time.
