Democratic Republic of Congo
The Democratic Republic of Congo, also referred to as Congo-Kinshasa and Congo among other names, is the rich in natural resources and minerals. In fact, it’s considered the richest country in the world in this regard. Cobalt, copper, cadmium, industrial and gem-quality diamonds, gold, silver, zinc, manganese, tin, germanium, uranium, radium, bauxite, iron ore, and coal are all found in abundant supply. Despite this, the DRC is the second-poorest country in the world in terms of GDP and the wealth gap is large due to political corruption, instability, and exploitation by foreigners.
The DRC has a long history of conflict and many local people have been displaced. While foreigners are welcomed, security is a concern and caution must be taken. However, residents who embrace life in the country find it has many positives, including rich culture and natural beauty.
Congo is a biodiverse nation and is famous for its gorillas. Many pay a visit to the lush Virunga National Park to go on walking tours to see the incredible great apes.
The job market is developing across various sectors, including finance, and there is much opportunity for skilled foreigners and locals looking to find mid- to high-level positions there.
CA Global has 15 years of recruitment experience in Africa and is seeking highly qualified professionals for positions in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Visit our Africa Jobs portal to view recent Democratic Republic of Congo jobs.
