Job Description:

Our client, a leading international shipping and logistics group with significant exposure to the mining sector across Africa, is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead its operations in Guinea. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for managing all logistics, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and project cargo activities, supporting key mining, industrial, and commercial clients throughout the country.

The role requires a commercially focused leader with strong experience in complex logistics environments, capable of managing stakeholder relationships, driving business development initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead freight forwarding, customs clearance and shipping agency operations.
• Support mining and industrial clients through effective supply chain solutions.
• Manage key customer accounts and commercial growth initiatives.
• Coordinate imports, exports and project cargo shipments.
• Build relationships within the mining and logistics sectors.
• Lead operational teams to achieve business objectives.
• Manage budgets and operational profitability.
• Ensure compliance with customs, shipping and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor operational efficiency and service levels.
• Drive safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Transport Management or related field.
• Professional logistics certifications will be advantageous.
• Minimum 5–10 years' experience in freight forwarding, customs, shipping agency, logistics or port operations.
• Minimum 3 years' management experience.
• Mining logistics or project cargo experience is highly advantageous.
• Previous experience within Africa, preferably West Africa.
• Strong commercial and customer relationship management skills.
• Knowledge of project cargo, industrial logistics and port operations.
• Professional proficiency in French is essential.
• Strong financial, leadership and stakeholder management capability.
• Advanced logistics systems and reporting experience.
