Civil and Structural Engineer – Africa’s Mining Sector
CA Mining is seeking a Civil and Structural Engineer – Johannesburg/South Africa
Purpose
To support the Senior Engineering Manager in the overall co-ordination of the Engineering aspects to ensure and approve that the correct engineering principles, statutory regulations, statutory acts, codes of practice, industry norms, standards, specifications and procedures are applied to support the scheduled mining activities. The scope would include all engineering and design activities pertaining to the Civil & Structural discipline.
Requirements
• BSc degree/B Tech Engineering diploma (Civil Engineering or equivalent).
• Registered as a Professional Engineer.
• 5-7 years Engineering Management experience.
• More than 10 years’ experience in design and engineering for project development, construction and project implementation, preferably in mining or similar industrial environments.
Knowledge and working experience of:
o PMBOK methodology within the construction environment;
o Understanding of procurement and sourcing requirements;
o Knowledge of contract procedures.
