What industry do you work in and what exactly are your skills?

I work in Transportation and Logistics as a Bus/Truck Driver/Equipment Operator.

What inspired you to get into this sort of industry?

Travelling, meeting new friends and interacting with different communities and cultures all over the world truly inspired me to get into this line of work. Another motivating factor would be the fact that with danger zones many people tend to fear and overlook this kind of employment.

What qualifications and experience did you have to gain In order to establish yourself and therefore become a professional within your industry?

I am  a graduate with a promising driving record. I have worked and been part of a very sensitive assignment in cash services and I emerged as the best driver with no accident nor injury for five years. Presently I am working with a Us Government Contractor in Afghanistan in support of Us military for four years now with clean driving record.

What is the most challenging aspect within your field of work?

Working in a war zone has been the most challenging experience in my career thus far.

How do you manage and overcome these challenges?

I love my job and I respect the rules and powers of my seniors in decision making.

What has been the highlight of your career?

The highlight of my career has been the overall comprehension concerning how challenging and at times also demanding, this industry is.

What can this person expect to earn (It doesn’t have to be an exact figure, a rough guide is sufficient) after 10 years of experience?

2700 to 3000 USD monthly.

Who is your role model and why?

My Transportation Manager here at work for treating each employee with respect and dignity, and for also  always treating employees equal, regardless of the position and origin that is his motto!

What motivates you to work this hard?

I have a family to take care of and also i must reward my employer by meeting his goals and objectives.

What is your outlook within your industry over the next 5 years?-

I would like to work hard so that I get promoted. I want to gain credible and valuable experience within my field so that I can build the best career for myself.

As you know, numerous African countries are being invested in due to their rich minerals. Which country within Africa do you think will be the next hot spot and why?

Angola, Nigeria, Libya, Iraq and Cameroon because we need the countries develop and create more jobs for the youth.
