Seeking Business Manager | Fertilizer Production Manager in Kenya

Do you have a degree in Agriculture or Engineering? One of our clients is seeking a Business Manager | Fertilizer Production Manager who will be responsible for developing and implementing a Fertilizer Strategic Business Plan. This plan will be focusing on capacity planning, manufacturing capability improvements and driving performance alongside set KPI’s, Good Manufacturing Practices and ISO 9000 and 22000 standards.

Business Manager Job Responsibilities

1. Business Budget management and setting of sales goals
2. Waste procurement and management
3. Supervise all factory operations and activities, ensuring efficiency
4. Developing and implementing system improvements and improve cost savings in line with Six Sigma and HACCP systems
5. Supervision of Manufacturing Production Supervisors
6. Provides training to Manufacturing Technicians and Assistants
7. Leads sales of specialized fertilizer products
8. Maintenance of accurate MRP schedules
9. Maintain and match ERP systems to production shifts whilst ensuring capacity constraints are reported via MS Navision ERP

Business Manager Requirements

1. Degree in Agriculture or Engineering (Industrial/Mechanical/Automation/Chemical) is essential
2. Strong background in HACCP and ISO
3. At least five years of experience in fertilizer, food safety audits, labeling and micro-testing
4. Operational expenditure budgeting and knowledge of Capex planning is an added advantage
5. Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt preferable.
